PUBG Mobile has launched the new Resident Evil 2 crossover event which introduces zombies and the notorious Tyrant to Erangel. The new event will combine PUBG's shooting and looting mechanics with the survival aspects of Resident Evil 2.

PUBG and Resident Evil 2 have joined forces to bring horror-themed crossover event to the battle royale on mobile. The event dubbed Zombie: Survive Till Dawn is now live on both Android and iOS.

The collaboration is a limited-time event and it features three in-game days and nights packed into a 30-minute match. Players will encounter different types of creatures from Capcom's survival horror including Licker and G1 type zombies and notorious Tyrant, also known as Mr X.

These zombies will appear during different types of day. For example, Tyrant will chase survivors during daylight, while G1 and Lickers will wander around Erangel once the sun goes down. Also, as it gets darker, zombies will become more aggressive and spotting them and other players will be a much harder task.

For a proper defence against all these rabid creatures, players will get a new weapon - the MI34 minigun. Killing zombies and bosses will also reward players with resources and items.

Additionally, players will get the chance to win special Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield skin sets as well as Ada Wong and Marvin Branaugh costumes. All of them are based on the designs from the Resident Evil 2 remake.

For a total Resident Evil 2 experience on PUBG Mobile, the menus will get a survival horror makeover with Resident Evil 2 main menu theme and music.

Keep in mind that you have to be at least level 10 to jump into Zombie: Survival Till Dawn, so if you're lower than that, better hurry up before the event expires.

While the new update primarily focuses on the crossover event, there are also some additions that aren't related to Resident Evil 2. Vikendi map now features new Moonlight weather, while some buildings have also been reworked. Tropical island map Sanhok is now available in Arcade - Quick Match.

On top of that, SMG and Assault rifles mode now start with double ammo while some terrain display bugs on slower smartphones have been addressed.
