EA's recent Battlefield survey asked players about a free-to-play element, a battle pass system, evolving map and weapon blueprints, which strongly suggest that we're getting a battle royale mode in Battlefield 6.

We already know that EA have been impressed by the success of Call of Duty Warzone, Activision's free-to-play battle royale title. Earlier rumours suggested that EA could offer their own F2P battle-royale in Battlefield 6 but of course, rumours are far from an official confirmation.

However, a recent EA survey may have fueled these battle royale rumours with some interesting questions. EA have reportedly asked Battlefield players for feedback regarding several battle royale elements such as battle pass, weapon blueprints, F2P model, Platoon/Clan system and an evolving map.

These questions strongly suggest that a battle-royale mode is indeed in development but as always with unconfirmed stuff, take it with a grain of salt, until EA and Dice officially reveal the first details about Battlefield 6.

Battlefield 6 should be revealed in May 2021 according to reliable industry insider Jeff Grubb and our own sources. The game is rumoured to be set in the modern-day, which is something that many Battlefield fans have been anticipating for years.

As for the platforms, it's expected that Battlefield 6 launches on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S but also last-gen consoles PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Battlefield 6 should release sometime later this year.
