PC gamers, rejoice! Another "Only on PlayStation" title is coming to your favourite storefronts in just a couple of months. This time, it's Insomniac Games' action adventure Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart , which was released exclusively on PlayStation 5 a couple of years ago.
Sony officially announced the port today with a new trailer, showcasing exclusive PC features such as DLSS, FSR, unlocked frame rate, ultrawide support and much more.
Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart will launch on PC on July 26, 2023, and you can pre-order the game on Steam and Epic Games Store starting today.
Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart PC features
- Ultra-wide support for 21:9, 32:9, and 48:9 (triple monitor support) resolutions!
- Unlocked frame rates
- Ray-traced reflections, as well as newly added, ray-traced shadows for exteriors.
- Upscaling technologies including NVIDIA DLSS 3, AMD FSR 2, Intel XeSS and Insomniac Games' Temporal Injection.
- NVIDIA Reflex and image quality-enhancing NVIDIA DLAA are also supported.
- DualSense support
- A wide range of control customization options for mouse and keyboard
- Includes support for achievements and cloud saves on PC game launchers.
Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart received overwhelming praise from both players and critics when it was released back in June 2021. It follows the iconic characters Ratchet and Clank as they go dimension-hopping to take on an evil emperor from another reality.
It was heavily marketed as a game that would not be possible on other platforms as it requires PlayStation 5's super fast SSD but guess what, we knew then that all of that was just marketing talk and we surely know it now.
But all in all, it's always great when games become available to more players so kudos to Sony for making this port happen.
