A new test server update suggests that Ubisoft could rework Rainbow Six Siege's worst operator Tachanka pretty soon. Tachanka's bio has been updated with a ton of new details including a mention of possible adjustments to his LMG.
Ever since Ubisoft's tactical shooter Rainbow Six Siege released back in 2015, Russian operator Tachanka has been considered as one of the worst, if not the worst choice for the defending team.
Still, Tachanka is very popular within the Rainbow Six Siege community and has even been nicknamed as "Lord Tachanka" despite his low success in the actual game. However, that could change in the near future according to the latest test server update details.
Tachanka's current biography on the official website is pretty scarce but as noticed by Rainbow Six YouTuber Prodigio Pete in his latest video, Ubisoft have changed it and added a ton of new details about the operator's personal life and childhood.
Interestingly, there is a section that is told from the perspective of fellow operator Mira. She talks about Tachanka's signature weapon LMG and mentions testing a number of prototype options for it. Furthermore, Mira also adds a list of possible adjustments that the team could make to the weapon.
Unfortunately, that's where the clues about Tachanka's potential rework end. Of course, a small section in his biography doesn't mean anything but we know from previous comments that Ubisoft had plans to tweak the operator.
Craig Robinson, Senior Community Developer on Rainbow Six Siege teased players earlier this year when he responded to a claim that Tachanka is just a weak old man. "Indeed. Not forever though!" Robinson replied, suggesting at potential changes.
With the latest change in Tachanka's biography, many players think that the upcoming Operation Ember Rise could finally bring some love for the low win rate operator. At the moment, nothing is officially confirmed by Ubisoft, but hopefully, as we get closer to the release date of the new Operation, the devs release more details regarding Tachanka changes.
