Ubisoft have finally revealed Nøkk, the Danish operator from Jægerkorpset that is coming to Rainbow Six Siege with Operation Phantom Sight. She is a creepy counterpart for Vigil and Caveira that will be on the attacking team instead.
Ubisoft stated that Nøkk is a mystery to the outside world and her existence is mostly just known by the members of Rainbow Six. Given that she is an undercover agent that likely leads a double life, the developers said she remained surprisingly grounded, true to who she is at her core.
The official description confirmed that Nøkk will be a nimble and stealthy attacker that will specialise in infiltration and intel gathering. In other words, this is what everyone already expected - a proper attacking counterpart of Vigil and Caveira.
Nøkk seems to share more traits with the latter though as Dane's playstyle is that of an intel collector that sneaks up on people with a suppressed sidearm.
Speaking of which, Nøkk's weapon may be somewhat impractical. While Caveira's Luison is a modified M92, Nøkk used a suppressed Desert Eagle. It is one of the most powerful handguns in the world, depending on which caliber it's chambered in, which would explain massive damage when sneaking up to people but it's also hard to suppress such a hand cannon. It will be interesting to see if Ubisoft will incorporate the louder osund as one of Nøkk's balancing mechanics.
The short teaser of a description Ubisoft shared on Nøkk's gadget identified it as something called HEL. Apparently, Dokkaebi helped her with this one and Nøkk is now "nothing short of a ghost, and leaves her opponents looking over their shoulder".
Just like with pretty much all the operators before, both Nøkk and the Secret Service defender will be revealed during Pro League Finals. This time around it will be on Sunday, 19 May 2019, meaning we will get another teaser for the defending operator in the next few days.
