PUBG's Season 8 has kicked in on PC with a ton of changes to Sanhok, some of them being just visual upgrades while others completely changed entire landmarks.
Sanhok 4 have been the theme of recent PUBG promotional material and they are pictured once again on the Season 8 posters. However, consequences of their attack on the organisers of the battlegrounds may not be in the game just yet. Gameplay trailer for Season 8 shows the bunker briefly but it is not mentioned in the official patch notes.
On the other hand, plenty of other parts of the map have been changed completely while the entire map got a remaster that should make it look better while also making the players' performance stable.
Areas that have been overhauled are:
- Bootcamp
- Quarry
- Ruins
- Mountain
- Cave
- River
- Bhan
- Pai Nan
- Khao
- Sahmee
- Kampong
Some other landmarks have been completely changed:
- Mongnai is now Airfield
- Docks are now Getaway
Loot truck is the new feature that will let the players get some of the best gear in the match. It will contain tier 3 items but it will be hard to completely stop the vehicle since it's armoured. Panzers are scattered across Sanhok and will come in handy in these situations. C4 has been removed though.
As a result of Docks becoming Getaway, the map will be removed from Team Deathmatch. Just like any new season, the eighth one has brought a ton of changes and not all of them are documented in this article so feel free to check out the official 8.1 patch notes that also contain images of the altered areas.
