Even though Tencent hasn't had the smoothest of rides as of late, PUBG Mobile most certainly has and as PUBG dipped below one million concurrent players for the first time in 12 months, its little brother hit 20 million players. Ouch.

To mark the occasion, Tencent posted a celebration video, showing some interesting stats. It turns out that PUBG Mobile's playerbase hails from more than 200 countries, excluding China, Korea and Japan. Also, 864,425,575 brave chickens were brutally slain over the course of PUBG Mobile's Season 2.

PUBG Mobile has recently been updated to 0.8.0 version, which brought a slew of improvements, most notable of which is the long awaited Sanhok map. It can be downloaded independently from inside the game.

Sanhok's mobile iteration comes with additional guns and vehicles, the first of which is the QBZ automatic rifle. It uses 5.56 rounds and has to firing modes - single shot and full automatic. Shotguns got the duckbill attachment, which decreases vertical at the expense of horizontal spread.

Muscle car is PUBG Mobile's new 4-seater that comes in convertible and hard-top flavours. Bulletproof UAZ is also a 4-seater and Tencent said it is "obtained from using the flare gun outside the playzone."

Tencent stepped up their anti-cheat measures as well by improving recognition of cheating programs and adding report buttons to the game's spectator mode. Clans have been updated as well and PUBG Mobile will now award some UC each time you get "specific items, (through purchase or luck", so that you can share it with your clansmen.

Season page has been tweaked to show all seasons played so far, along with the rest of the important stats, while Royale Pass received more mission types. As usual, there's a bunch of minor fixes and tweaks, all listed in PUBG Mobile's 0.8.0 .

Ironically enough, while PUBG Mobile is living the dream, PUBG seems to be gently sliding into obscurity. At the same time, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4's mode definitely isn't helping in that respect, especially since it seems to be attracting much of PUBG's playerbase.
