PUBG's PGS Berlin: Europe Qualifier final will take place in Germany from 6 until 8 March. The event will see 24 of the region’s top PUBG teams fighting for a spot among the top six.
Before the fight for the coveted chicken dinner can kick off, the PUBG Corporation has an announcement to make - they will be financially supporting all sides that have made it this far - even if they don’t qualify for the main event.
A $60,000 Drop-In Bonus will be divided among the teams that finish in 7-24th place. The distribution of the bonus will depend on the final position of each roster:
- 7th to 16th place: $4,000
- 17th to 24th place: $2,500
Naturally, the qualified teams' main objective is to rank in the top six slots. This will qualify the top 6 teams for the PGS Berlin later this year and the teams that take part in the main event will also receive a minimum of $20,000 each.
The PGS Berlin: Europe West Qualifiers saw the Elgiganten Gaming team swim to the top of the charts. The remaining spots have been secured by YMCA Esports, Inside Games and ADR Farmers.
None of the teams finished in the top two in match 12 and the Czech squad Inside Games was eliminated in 16th position. However, their steady performances during the event meant they had done just enough to progress to the PGS Berlin: Europe Qualifier final.
This also marked the end of online qualifiers as the teams make their way to Germany for the PGS Berlin: Europe Qualifier, where they will be joined by 20 more of the region’s top squads to duke it out for that top six ranking.
