Ubisoft have delayed Prince of Persia The Sands of Time Remake to a later date. The publisher did not reveal the target release window, only that they need more time to deliver the best possible Prince of Persia experience.
It looks like things are not quite going as Ubisoft want when it comes to the development of a remake of the beloved action-adventure Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.
You may remember that the game was already delayed once, shorty after the publisher officially announced the game. Today, Ubisoft have released another development update, confirming that the game will not release on March 18, 2021, as previously planned.
Instead, the publisher made a decision to delay Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake indefinitely. The devs will now work on the project without the pressure of fast-approaching release date.
"We have made the decision to shift the release date of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake to a later date. This extra development time will enable our teams to deliver a remake that feels fresh while remaining faithful to the original," it's written in the announcement, which was posted on the game's social media channels.
The announcement will certainly come as a surprise to many Prince of Persia fans who were eagerly awaiting that March 2021 release date.
Ubisoft also promise to share more info and keep players posted on the progress of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake.
