IllFonic's asymmetrical online multiplayer shooter game Predator: Hunting Grounds is coming on 24 April 2020 it's been revealed in the latest trailer.
Sony's PlayStation State of Play brought us a lot of new details about some of the biggest upcoming titles and Predator: Hunting Grounds is one of them. In the new trailer, the developer IllFonic decided to showcase new gameplay and classes that will be available on launch. Speaking about the launch, we also have an official release date. Predator: Hunting Grounds is coming to PlayStation 4 on 24 April 2020.
Players will get to customise their own Predator depending on how they want to hunt. On top of choosing your own armour design, you'll get to choose from three Predator classes with different styles of play, strengths and weaknesses to select from.
The classes that the developers revealed in the new video are Hunter, Berserker and Scout. Hunter has a versatile hunting style and balanced weapon choice. Berserker, as expected, has savage power and extra health while Scout is fast and has ultimate stamina.
As far as weapons go, the Predator has a crazy off-world tech at its disposal. You'll get to kill your opponents with Smart Disc, the Combistick and a deadly bow. The Combstick for example, can extend to become a spear both useful in close combat or from a distance. The trailer offers a sneak peek so you can see just how deadly the weapon is.
For those who decide to pre-order Predator: Hunting Grounds, Sony and IllFonic have special rewards. First, you can hunt as the Predator from the original film with the ‘87 Predator Skin and for the Fireteam players, you get the powerful “Ole Painless” mini-gun. You can see both in the image below.
There's also a digital deluxe edition of the game, and you can find more about that on PlayStation blog .
