IllFonic announced the new DLC pack, which will include the original character of Dutch from the late '80s along with a free trial that will offer potential newcomers a taste of Predator: Hunting Grounds.
Predator: Hunting Grounds is getting both paid DLC and free update on September 1, 2020. The paid DLC pertains to the iconic character Alan "Dutch" Schaefer, who was the original star of the movie from 1987.
Technically, we already had paid DLC with Dutch but that was a futuristic version of the soldier who successfully stood up to several predators over the long years of his clandestine career. In 2025, Dutch is 77 years old and we are now getting the one from his prime, as he was during the Val Verde incident.
Once again, Arnold Schwarzenegger will reprise the role of Dutch and the DLC will grant eight tint customisations along with early access to Dutch's M16 with the underbarrel grenade launcher.
One the not-so-paid side of things, gamers who are interested in checking Predator: Hunting Grounds will be able to do so for free from August 28, 2020. The trial will conclude on August 30, 2020, and the game will be on sale for the duration of the free weekend, in case players like it enough to purchase it.
Any progress made during the free weekend will carry over to the full version of the game, should someone decide to buy it. Maybe it's redundant but here it is just in case - you will need to be on the same PSN account during the free weekend and subsequent full version in order for the progress to carry over.
