The Pokemon Company have officially confirmed the release date for Pokemon Sword and Shield's first DLC, which is part of the game's expansion pass. It is coming on June 17 2020.
Pokemon Sword and Shield is getting two new DLC that are part of the game's expansion pass. The publisher Pokemon Company today officially announced the release date for the first expansion named The Isle of Armor. The DLC will arrive on Wednesday, June 17 2020.
The publisher detailed the expansion in the description, stating that once the update drops, players will be heading to The Isle of Armor, a giant island "full of environments not seen in Galar before". You'll get to traverse "wave-swept beaches, forests, bogs, caves, and sand dunes", the publisher hyped up the DLC in the announcement.
On top of this, there are new Pokemon that you will find on the island and there's even a dojo there that specializes in some very particular training styles.
You can check out some of the gameplay from the new area in the trailer above. Keep in mind that it is for the Japanese market but the English version should be just around the corner.
The second DLC is named The Crown Tundra and it is a completely different area with a lot of shown and mountain villages. The release date for The Crown Tundra is yet to be revealed.
