Niantic announced the details for the Twinkling Fantasy Pokemon Go event, revealing that it will last from January 10, 2023, at 8:00 AM local time to January 16 at 10:00 PM.
Mega Salamence will make a debut and if you are lucky, you might get a Shiny one.
On a related note, completing the related Collection Challenge will award 50 Salamence Mega energy, a Charged TM and a Fast TM.
Bonuses during the event will include:
- 2× XP for successfully catching Pokémon with Nice Throws, Great Throws, and Excellent Throws
- Additional Candy for successfully catching Pokémon with Nice Throws, Great Throws, and Excellent Throws
- Increased chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL for successfully catching Pokémon with Nice Throws, Great Throws, and Excellent Throws
