Have an Xbox One lying around and looking for something fresh to play? Grinding Gear's Path of Exile will be going through beta testing on the console during the coming few weeks, with all of its PC content included. You can get in line for a beta key here.
Path of Exile's arrival on Xbox One was announced earlier this year, and the game should see an official release before the end of 2017, if everything goes as planned.
All of the content from the Fall of Oriath expansion will be included in the console release. This includes the upcoming acts 5 - 8.
"The Xbox Beta is an opportunity to test the content, controls and user interface we have created for the Xbox One", was part of the statement from the studio asking players to provide as much feedback as they can.
Path of Exile is almost entirely free-to-play on PC, with cosmetic microtransaction items being the only exception. There is no way to increase character power or make additional progress with the aid of real moneyz. This practise will most likely translate to the Xbox version as well.
