Developer Pocketpair has just released a new anniversary video to thank players for supporting Palworld during its two years in Early Access, as well as showing off what the future of monster-catching-survival game has in store.
The video includes thank you notes from the team as well as footage of some never-before-seen Pals players can expect when Palworld fully releases. Version 1.0 of Palworld may still be over two years away, but this latest update shows that development on its way to a full release.
New Pals teased for version 1.0
Video includes quick shots of several new Pals that will be added in Version 1.0. Pocketpair didn’t give names, skills, or roles of any of the teases but judging by their designs players can expect many more cool, cute, scary, and silly creatures.
Pocketpair Studios confirmed all of these new pals will be coming to Palworld when it fully releases, giving players even more wildlife to catch, fight beside, and place in charge of their bases. The devs also included quick looks at some concept art and internal tools that they use to develop and design new Pals.
Pocketpair thanks players
CEO Takuro Mizobe and Head of Publishing and Communications Bucky took a moment during the video to directly address players and thank everyone who has supported Palworld during its Early Access development.
They went on to mention how feedback from players has helped influence the patches they continuously update the game with as well as feature implementation into Version 1.0.
Game director Woojin Kang noted that Early Access has been especially important for them to work out essential features like combat balancing, base-building, and multiplayer functionality.
Version 1.0 will build upon everything they’ve learned during Early Access to improve upon and add even more to Palworld.
Palworld version 1.0 release date
Palworld entered Early Access back in January 19th, 2024 for Xbox Series X|S consoles, Xbox One, and PC (Steam, Microsoft Store). It wasn’t until months later on September 24th, 2024 that a PlayStation 5 version released to even more players.
Version 1.0 won’t be released until 2026 at the earliest. However, Pocketpair has promised to continue showing off what’s next for Palworld and Version 1.0 going forward.
