Pocketpair has officially announced Palworld: Palfarm, a farming simulator spinoff that trades the monster-catching mayhem of the original for peaceful agricultural life.
The cosy farming game is currently in development for PC via Steam, though no release date has been revealed yet. Additionally, there is no console version in development at the moment, so Palfarm will be a PC exclusive, at least on launch, as things stand.
Farm solo or with friends
Palfarm relocates players to a tranquil island where Pals become your farming companions rather than battle partners. Each Pal brings unique abilities to help with daily farm operations - from planting seeds and watering crops to harvesting and general maintenance. It's a complete departure from Palworld's survival shooter roots, focusing instead on building the perfect farm alongside these adorable creatures.
The game supports both solo and online multiplayer gameplay, letting you collaborate with friends to create your dream agricultural paradise. Beyond basic farming, players can cook, craft items, and construct buildings with their Pal helpers contributing throughout the process.
Palfarm Reveal Trailer
Pocketpair say Palfarm isn't purely about crop cultivation. Players can build relationships with island residents through daily conversations and gift-giving, unlocking special story arcs and deeper narrative content. The local market system allows you to buy and sell crops and crafted goods, with rare items occasionally available for purchase.
While the atmosphere remains cozy, the game isn't without its challenges. Wild Pals sometimes raid farms to steal fresh produce, requiring players to defend their hard work. This adds light conflict without compromising the overall peaceful vibe.
