Blizzard kicked off the fourth Overwatch Anniversary with three skins as challenge rewards, along with some legendaries and emotes. However, there are no new highlight intros.
Overwatch Anniversary 2020 features eight new skins in total, five of them being legendary and three are of the epic rarity. The legendaries are for sale at the price of 3,000 Jeff Bucks each or if you are patient, you might get them from loot boxes by the end of the event.
The news legendary skins in Overwatch Anniversary 2020 are:
- Little Red Ashe
- Dragoon Mercy
- Huitzilopochtli Zenyatta
- Masquerade Reaper
- Submarine Wrecking Ball
While those are available only through loot boxes or purchases using Credits, the epic skins will be attained through weekly challenges. Each week of the event, players will need to get nine wins to acquire a skin, while three wins award a player icon and six wins yield a spray.
Week one will have Carbon Fiber Sigma, pictured above, along with the associated cosmetics. Week two will feature Fleur de Lis Widowmaker and week three will be all about Masked Man McCree.
The new emotes will work the same way as the new legendary skins since they are only available in loot boxes or Credit purchases (750 each) in Hero Gallery. There are three in total:
- Big Guy for Roadhog
- Dans for Sigma
- Weightless for Echo
Keep in mind that Anniversary makes all the other event-related skins available for purchase but those introduced in the past year will still have increased costs. There is also a free Legendary Anniversary loot box waiting for you on the next login.
You can preview all the new additions on the official website. There are many cosmetics on the list but those added in Anniversary 2020 will have a "New" tag in upper right corner.
