Overwatch 2 just teased their upcoming collaboration with Porsche that is set to go live on May 14, 2024, on X (formerly known as Twitter) which in fact is just a few days from now.
This unexpected collaboration has definitely stirred things up in the Overwatch community, as players were quick to express their excitement and high expectations from this event. Here is everything we know so far about the Overwatch 2 x Porsche event.
Details about the Overwatch X Porsche event
This collaboration brings a variety of new cosmetics, including two legendary skins, with the D.Va skin being revealed today. D.Va is not only a fan-favourite character, but her mech's distinctive and functional design made her a great choice to kick off Overwatch 2's latest collaboration.
Given her in-universe background, which revolves around engineering and enhancing her mech Tokki, D.Va's connection to Porsche's focus on precision and detail was a natural fit.
D.Va's Porsche skin will be the highlight of the event, featuring a unique design inspired by the Macan 4. Blizzard created this special skin specifically for the collaboration. Additionally, when the crossover was announced, a life-size statue of D.Va's mech styled as a Porsche was also unveiled.
In addition to the in-game collaboration, fans can check out the Porsche Full Service exhibit at Brazos Hall, located at 204 E. 4th St., until March 12.
This installation features a life-sized 7-foot statue of D.Va's Porsche-themed skin, crafted by Onyx Forge Studios. Stay alert for other gaming events this year, as D.Va's statue might be on the move, making additional appearances. The initial announcement and the release date reveal hinted at a special game mode arriving as part of the Overwatch 2 x Porsche collaboration.
