Overwatch 2 Season 9 began with a bang. There are so many changes going on this season, starting from Heroes to maps to even a new coveted rank, the Champions Rank, we can say for sure that the meta is shifting.
While most of the changes done to Heroes were minor, the main aim was to balance the game by nerfing overperforming Heroes while powering underperforming ones received a buff.
So let's see all the changes Blizzard made to Tank Heroes and attempt to reach the currently highest rank, the Champions rank.
All the changes made to Tank Heroes in Overwatch 2 Season 9
Here are all the changes that were made to Tank Heroes:
D.Va
- D.Va's Pilot health is now 175 instead of 150
- Her Mech Armor is now 375 instead of 300
- Her SelfDestruct now does 100 more damage
- Her inner explosion radius is now 6 meters.
Doomfist
- Doomfist's Health is now 375.
- His max impact damage is now 25% stronger
- His wall spam damage is not 40 instead
Junker Queen
- Junker Queen's health is now 375
- Her Rampage ability now does 90 damage instead of 60
Mauga
- Mauga now has 100 more health
Orisa
- Orisa's armor is now 350 instead of 275
Ramattra
- Ramattra's health is now 275 instead of 200
Reinhardt
- Reinhardt's health is now 250 instead of 200
- His armor is now 275 instead of 250
- Rocket hammer now does 15 damage more
- His Charge now does 50 increased wall damage
Roadhog
- Roadhog's health was increased from 550 to 650
Sigma
- Sigma's shield is now 275 instead of 200
Winston
- Winston's health is now 225 instead of 200
- His Armor is now 250 instead of 200
- His Tesla Cannon now has increased Pirmary Fire damage, going from 60 to 75 damage per second
- His Primal Rage punch damage is now 50 instead of 40
Wrecking Ball
- His armour is now 175 instead of 100
Zarya
- Zarya's Health is now 175 instead of 100
- Her Particle cannon primary beam width is wider now from 0.15 meters to 0.2 meters.
These updates may look small but they will have a huge impact on the game. As the tanks are now more beefy and robust, they will be able to drag fights out longer and be a much better frontline. Allowing damage heroes to do their thing from the back.
