Cassidy, or McCree, as he was known previously, has always managed to annoy people with his grenade ability.
Initially, it was a stun grenade that was the bane of every Genji with his ult up but it was changed to one that tracks and damages enemies instead with the release of Overwatch 2.
Blizzard is now nerfing it yet again because the grenade's initial performance was also too annoying.
Namely, the grenade was too good at tracking people and often stuck to enemies even if all logic mandated it shouldn't. Following the June 28, 2023, update, its seeking radius has been lowered from 1.5 to 1.3 meters. Additionally, the homing duration has been decreased by 25 per cent, from one to 0.75 seconds.
Overall, Cassidy players shouldn't notice much difference at closer ranges but it will no longer be a projectile that can't miss at medium to long range.
Mei was previously changed to a more utilitarian role but it didn't work out so her primary fire slow is now going from 50 down to 40 per cent in order to buff its damage from 55 up to 70 per second. When Deep Chill activates, the maximum slow will be 65 per cent, down from 75.
Lifeweaver will now be more proficient at medium-range combat in order to allow him to better position himself to maximise the power of his abilities.
