Valve previously announced that Team Fortress 2 is getting a content update in 2023 which was a surprise but a welcome one.
Now it seems like the update is scheduled for June 29, 2023, but the source is a leak so nothing is set in stone just yet.
That said, it would definitely be like Valve to drop an update out of the blue and the recent events follow the company's way of introducing new content.
The new map in Team Fortress 2 will be called Sharkbay and it is a marina that lives up to the name as there are actual sharks around.
Should a player swim too close to one of them, the big fish will attack and kill them so you will need to make sure you have solid ground under your heels at all times.
Sharkbay was previously available in the Workshop but it was removed on June 22, 2023. This follows Valve's habit of removing content from the Workshop one week before it is introduced in an official capacity.
It wasn't before some players got to experience the new map, including the creator of the video above where you can get a better look at the area and its features.
Additionally, you can check out the screenshots for the new map through the workshop although it is unclear whether you will be able to play it as it might be set to private.
