Adorable guardian spirit Ori will come to Nintendo Switch before the end of the year with both physical and digital editions.
Moon Studios, iam8bit and Xbox Game Studios worked together with Skybound Games to get proper distribution for Ori and the Will of the Wisps as well as Ori and the Blind Forest which resulted in an announcement that states these two games will release on Nintendo Switch on December 8, 2020.
Physical editions of both games will stand at $39.99 / €39.99 each and pre-orders are available globally already. While we did mention this includes the digital version as well, this one has already been available for over a month via Nintendo eShop, where Ori and the Will of the Wisps released on September 17, 2020.
Both physical editions will feature six collectable art cards as well as digital downloads of the games' soundtracks which were composed by Gareth Coker.
One interesting feature that was mentioned alongside the trailer below is that both Ori and the Blind Forest and Ori and the Will of the Wisps will run at 60 FPS on Nintendo Switch which is fairly important for enjoying the games' beautiful graphics.
Switch hardware limitations may be tighter than those of other mainstream consoles and PC but it always features the one thing others don't - its portability. With Ori games on Switch, long journeys might just be remembered as magical adventures in an enchanted forest.
