After a long wait, this first-person Pillars of Eternity spin-off title is finally coming in Autumn 2024, to PC and Xbox Series X|S. As previously announced, Avowed is a day-one Game Pass release, just like every other Xbox first-party release.

In today's deep dive, Obsidian Entertainment revealed new gameplay footage, showcasing more of the game's stunning world, new characters, combat and much more.

Obsidian also made sure to explain how player actions can affect the residents of Living Lands. Just like in his previous RPGs like The Outer Worlds, you will be able to complete quests in various ways and your actions will have consequences.

Judging by the newly released info, Avowed does indeed look like a true Obsidian RPG so fans of this legendary studio certainly have plenty of reason to be excited.

One of the things that fans were not keen on was the game's colourful and stylistic visuals, which looked nothing like that first teaser trailer from 2020.

The footage from the latest build of the game, which we got to see today does look noticeably better and less vibrant. Some of the locations we got to see are really breathtaking and a massive improvement over the last trailer.

All in all, today's gameplay deep dive got us even more excited for Avowed and we cannot wait to see more of the game and obviously, get to play it later this year.
