Ubisoft have officially revealed Rainbow Six Siege's Operation Phantom Sight, which introduces two brand new operators - Nokk and Warden. The new update also brings extensive rework to Kafe Dostoyevsky map and a couple of new gadgets.
Operation Phantom Sight is the name of next major DLC for Ubisoft's online tactical shooter Rainbow Six Siege. As earlier rumoured, Phantom Sight introduces Nokk and Warden, a two new operators, along with a couple of other additions, including the Kafe Dostoyevsky map rework.
Warden is a new defender, with a fancy suit and special glasses, which allow him to see through the smoke when standing still and make him immune to flashbangs.
Players can manually activate and deactivate the glasses and use them as many times as they please during the match. Warden is a high armour, low-speed operator that can wield MPX submachine gun or M590A1 shotgun.
As for the other operator, Nokk is basically an attacking version of Vigil. She can use her special ability to become invisible on cameras while moving steadily and remove any footsteps sound.
Players can use Nokk's gadget as many times as they want as long as they have the juice to run it. It doesn't come with a cooldown effect which adds a lot of tactical flexibility to her playstyle.
However, Nokk's invisibility isn't without its flaws. While using her gadget, Nokk will glitch and become visible to camera feed if she runs fast, gets caught in traps such as Lesion's Gu mines or simple barbed wire obstacles. Basically, any type of activity apart from walking normal, crouching and reloading the weapon will make Nokk glitch.
Last but not least, the new update also introduces a major rework of the Kafe Dostoyevsky map. New bomb sites have been added while the kitchen area has seen the biggest change.
Ubisoft are yet to confirm when exactly will Operation Phantom Sight arrive but traditionally, the publisher released the updates around three to four weeks after the initial announcement.
As always, Operation Phantom Sight will arrive earlier to season pass owners.
