Team Ninja have today revealed full details for Darkness in the Capital, a second DLC for their challenging action-RPG Nioh 2. The new expansion will introduce a bunch of fresh content and it's dropping next month on October 15, 2020.
In the latest post over on PlayStation blog, the devs detailed all additions that players will get to enjoy very soon. First and foremost, there's a new storyline coming which sees the protagonist venturing to Kyoto City and to discover a shrine furnished with an old worn-out box which will take him to the middle of the Heian Period, landing in an ancient version of the capital.
"Contrary to its name 'Heian Palace,' which means peace and tranquillity, ancient Kyoto was terrorized by countless Yokai during this time period. However, there existed many heroes who were brave enough to oppose these demons. Among them were the most preeminent demon slayer and the strongest sorcerer in history, along with their subordinates and colleagues fighting at their side," it's written in the description.
Additionally, the DLC will also bring overwhelmingly powerful new bosses, tricky new Yokai, new Guardian Spirits, skills, Ninjutsu, Onmyo Magic and Soul Cores. Last but not least, new armour sets and a weapon will be included in the DLC.
