Team Ninja have released a brand new story trailer for their upocoming action RPG Nioh 2. On top of this, the devs also outlined their plans for post-launch DLC.
As we get closer to the release date of Team Ninja's action RPG Nioh 2, the developer Team Ninja and the publisher Koei Tecmo have decided to release fresh details about the game each week, from now until the release date.
Yesterday, PlayStation officially confirmed that Nioh 2 will get a new trailer today and the promise has been fulfiled. Team Ninja have shared a new story trailer but also offered a lot of additional details regarding the game's post-launch DLC.
The trailer, which you can watch above, is looking great and packs a couple of stunning scenes, which introduce us to the world and the story of the sequel. The graphics seem like a bit step up from the first game but we should wait until the game releases to judge the looks. Trailers can look deceiving.
Post-launch DLC plans
As for the DLC plans, Team Ninja say they have three major DLC releases planned, each one focusing on a different storyline that pre-dates the events of Nioh 2. They promise hours of additional gameplay, new weapons, new combat abilities and new characters, with each DLC incorporating both multiple main and sub-missions.
All three expansions are included in Nioh 2 Season Pass, which is part of the Digital Deluxe Edition.
Nioh 2 is hitting the shelves on 14 March 2020. The game is currently announced exclusively for Sony's PlayStation 4. The publisher Koei Tecmo are yet to officially confirm the development of the PC version.
