According to Nintendo’s internal sales figures, it took the Switch nine months to pass the major milestone of 10 million sales. In comparison, it only took the hybrid console 5 months to pass a major kidney stone.
The Switch launched in March, 2017, to become "the first home console that can be played on a TV and also be taken instantly on the go" says the press release. The console boasts a vast game library that includes titles such as Super Mario Odyssey and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

Breath of The Wild recently claimed the Game Of The Year Award, courtesy of . Other highlights from the game library include Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Splatoon 2 and Arms. The latter two are Switch exclusives.
The list of third-party games that are available for Switch includes: Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, FIFA 18, Rocket League, , Stardew Valley, Golf Story and . To link a few.
Nintendo of Europe President, Satoru Shibata said in a press release: "We are thrilled that fans all across Europe and around the world are enjoying the gameplay experiences that only Nintendo Switch can offer, whether it be the newest adventures with Super Mario and Link, or unique games such as 1-2-Switch, where players look at each other and not the screen".

Some of the titles you get to look forward to until they become available on the Switch in 2018 are: Kirby Star Allies, Bayonetta 2, Dragon Quest Builders and a new game in the Yoshi franchise. Big third party games such as Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus and Mega Man 11 will also join the line-up.
