If the latest leaks are to be believed, Activision have been readying a new Crash Bandicoot game in silence and the launch date is well before the year ends.
Crash's new game leaked via the 4chan messageboard so it's probably wise to retain a healthy dose of scepticism. That said, the images appear to be genuine in spite of being pretty low res, so we're at least hoping the rumour is true.
There's more good news as the leakster in question also claims we'll be hearing more on Monday, when Activision are supposedly set to make the official announcement. After being pestered to post the darn trailer already, the poster said, "You'll see it Monday. Have this in the meantime", and included the image you see below.
In summation, if the leak doesn't turn out to be a ringer, not only are we getting new Crash Bandicoot news on Monday, trailer included - we're getting a new game before next-gen consoles hit the shelves.
Now, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy has been a proper blockbuster and Activision ended up raking in some serious nostalgia bucks. The game was excellent and launched on just about everything, reigning over the UK's physical market for eight weeks.
Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled has been great for the most part, but Activision's downsizing of the platforms and some microtransaction stuff prevented it from reaching the predecessor's heights, even if it's still the same of fun-a-ton.
Seeing as how the leakster provided Monday as the official reveal day, we should know soon enough whether it's true.
