Battlefield 6 just got a brand new update coming in at version 1.1.3.6. This update is mainly aimed at quality of life improvements, rather than any new additions. There’s been a laundry list of small bugs and oddities players have experienced, and this patch aims to fix them.
Some of these small bugs range from minor issues in player movement that may impact sprinting, to more noticeable bugs such as explosions on maps causing flickering lighting or even blacking out the entire map.
Improvements have been made to both traditional multiplayer and REDSEC Battle Royale. The patch also includes stability improvements for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S owners that should fix certain crashes and connection issues.
Key Player and Gameplay Fixes
Fixes for aspects relating to how the game fundamentally plays.
- Fixed erratic momentum while sprint jumping resulting in abnormal acceleration or deceleration.
- Updated the cosmetics "Objective Ace" and "Winter Warning" to adhere to Futurism's visual styleguide.
- Fixed an audio issue where teammate enemy detection through UAV drone was heard by the entire squad instead of solely the UAV operator.
Map and Visual Bug Cleanup
Removed some flashy graphical distractions with aggressive clipping issues present throughout the game, predominantly on Eastwood.
- Fixed elimination near Team flags that resulted in green particles, purple screen effects, or a blackout of the entire map.
- Fixed the icons of squadmates unable to revive you appearing on your minimap.
REDSEC Battle Royale Improvements
Balance fixes and adjustments focused on Battle Royale matchtype to better accommodate players from beginning to end.
- Fixed an issue where BR Initiation matches could potentially hang on after the last AI was eliminated.
- Fixed instances where your parachute would stay connected to the jump squad leader after splitting from them.
- Battle Royale Second Chance redeploy button/timer not functioning properly on teammates.

Platform stability fixes focused on disconnecting from the game and crashing on consoles.
- PS5 Verified Ownership Failure: Fixed an issue that may cause players to experience connectivity issues during certain PS5 notifications.
- Xbox Series X/S Out Of Memory Crash: Fixed a crash that occurred when players selected the Daily and Weekly Challenges menu.
