NetherRealm Studios are not easing up on gradually revealing their roster for Mortal Kombat 11 as the studio recently released a trailer featuring Shao Kahn's henchman Kollector, the latest brand new character in the game's universe.

Kollector's appearance doesn't give out much at first as anyone freshly introduced to the character could start wondering whether additional arms are all he collects. As it turns out, he seems to have a thing for Kukri knives too as he is seen using four of them at the same time during the crushing blow.

Not-so-naturally, he uses each in one arm, for a total of four arms he actively uses in combat while the remaining two out of total of six arms are used to keeping an apparently bottomless satchel on Kollector's back. It appears as if he pulls various tricks thanks to this satchel, due to a seemingly endless supply of valuables and curios stored within it.

Kollector doesn't use the satchel to store just magical artefacts and weapons he can use in combat but also the heads of the foes he defeats, as seen with Baraka at the end of the trailer when the latter suffers a fatality.

As far as the lore goes, Kollector's pre-fight banter with Baraka reveals that he serves Shao Kahn when he comes to collect a tithe from the Tarkatan in both blood and gold.

This also hints the name "Kollector" is a play on words since it both describes his affinity for collecting things as well as serving as a debt collector for Shao Kahn.

As far as the combat style goes, it appears as if he will fulfil a role of a controller who will be able to dictate the range at which he wants to fight since Kollector's moves feature both a massive knockback with the gilded chain as well as anti-projectile magic that could help him with the zoners.

Mortal Kombat 11 will be released on 24 April 2019 and we are in for a few more treats via trailers and Kombat Kast, the latter of which recently revealed Noob Saibot and Erron Black.
