It seems that a brand new version of Mortal Kombat 11 is coming pretty soon. Named Aftermath, the version is set to introduce new story, playable fighters, fatalities and friendships
Thanks to a recent online leak, it seems that a new version of Mortal Kombat 11 named Aftermath will be released very soon, potentially at one of the rumoured Xbox or PS5 events in May and June.
The leaker claims that Aftermath will bring a brand-new cinematic story centred around trust and deceit. "Fire God Liu Kang, the new keeper of time and protector of Earthrealm, looks to secure the future he envisions. In order to do so, he is forced to enlist the help of some unlikely allies and familiar foes. Players will have to decide who they can trust and who they must defeat with fate on the line. Forge a new history."
Furthermore, Sheeva and Fujin return as playable fighters with RoboCop as a special new character, making his debut in Mortal Kombat series. Stage Fatalities are another fresh addition. This, of course, means that The Klassic finishing move from the original game is back so you will be able to use the arena against your enemies.
Speaking about fighting arenas, Kronika's Keep, Souls Chamber are brand-new additions while the Iconic Dead Pool stage and RetroKrade are also returning.
Last but not least, NetherRealm are adding Friendships, which are friendly finishers where you can finish the enemy with kindness instead, again, something that we saw in earlier games.
