A part of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's Season 3 content has been leaked over at Reddit. The upcoming season will introduce Backlot and Village maps from previous games, Alex and Ronin operators and SKS weapon among other things.
The latest update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare introduced a brand new map but also a lot of hidden information about the game's upcoming Season 3. Thanks to a Redditor who goes by the name of Senescallo we have a ton of new details about the new season, including the first look at its maps, weapons, operators and more. So let's get started.
Two new maps that will be coming in Season 03 are Village and Backlot, check them out in the screenshots above and below. These maps are not brand new as you may know since we already got to play them in earlier Call of Duty games. Backlot returns from the original Modern Warfare and this time it is set in Meska, Urzikstan where Demon Dogs and Jackals will get to fight.
Village returns from Modern Warfare 3 and it is located 14 km outside of Venskaya, Kastovia. Teams are SAS and Spetsnaz.
As for the weapons, we are getting SKS sniper, which is a lightweight semi-auto Carbine. SKS features a faster fire rate than other sniper rifles in its class which makes it a bit inaccurate but in the right hands, it can be a deadly tool.
Renetti is the other weapon. It is a 9mm pistol, perfect for close-range combat. Whether these two weapons are the only new additions in Season 03 it remains to be seen but it would not surprise us if Infinity Ward have more in store.
Two new operators are Alex and Ronin. You know Alex from the Modern Warfare campaign while we are yet to get our first look at Ronin.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 3 is set to release in less than two weeks. Of course, we don't know if all the content will be available from day one since Infinity Ward love to steadily roll it out but it is nice to see that there will be plenty of new stuff for all players.
The leak also includes several Battle Pass items and you can check out the Reddit post for a closer look at that.
