Activision have released a brand new trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, detailing unique PC features such as ultrawide support and more. The publisher also confirmed the pre-load start date for the game.
We're only a couple of days away from the release of highly-anticipated Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, which aims to introduce several new features to the popular shooter series and also return to its roots with a more realistic singleplayer campaign.
In the last several days, the publisher Activision and the developer Infinity Ward have released a lot of new details about the game and today, we got a brand new trailer, showcasing some of the PC-exclusive features. On top of that, Activision also officially confirmed the start date for pre-load on PC.
For those of you who pre-ordered the game on Blizzard's Battle.net platform, the pre-load will officially begin on Tuesday, 22 October 2019 at 10:00 PDT. For some reason, Activision did not clarify if it's AM or PM but let's assume it's AM. Also, Xbox One players can already start pre-loading the game.
As for the trailer, it showcases PC features and it's in ultrawide. As expected, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will support 4K on PC, ultrawide or multi-monitor resolutions and won't have a frame-rate cap. Activision also mentioned that the PC version of Modern Warfare will have more customisation options than ever before in a Call of Duty game.
It's not clear what exactly Activision is referring to but it's possible that they are talking about graphics settings and controls customisation. One odd thing in the trailer is the mention of the 64-player mode Ground War. This mode is not exclusive to PC but Activision brought it up anyway as something that should appeal to PC gamers.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is officially hitting the shelves on 25 October 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
