According to the latest rumours, Konami could re-release their iconic titles Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid 2 on PC very soon. Both games are currently unplayable on modern machines.

Metal Gear Solid may be one of the greatest franchises of all time but sadly, you can't really play the original game and its successor, Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid 2: Sony of Liberty on PC these days. The games are nowhere to be found on PC storefronts like Steam, Epic Games Store or GOG which is a darn shame since many players would certainly love the opportunity to dive into these creations once again.

Fortunately, it looks like Konami could soon re-release these games on PC. Now, before you jump on the hype train, keep in mind that the info comes from ResetEra forum member and it's not official in any way or form so definitely take it with a grain of salt, just like any other rumour.

ResetEra user Potterson, who has been verified by the forum mods claims that both Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid 2 are coming to PC. "I'll use the Bethesda chaos to just say......MGS and MGS2 are coming to PC (again)," he wrote.

Additionally, he clarified that he does not know if this will be a bundle release or the game will sell individually. Both options are definitely possible but it would not surprise us if Konami bundled both titles with some sweet features like added support for higher resolutions, improved controls and more.

Until we get an official confirmation, this is just speculation, though, so try to keep your expectations as low as possible.
