As was the case every year since the Epic Games launcher became a thing, Christmas time is especially festive for the players who own an account here. Epic Games is giving one game for free every day during the holiday season, and it will remain that way until the end of the year.
Every day, a new game is revealed, and while the gamers usually speculate which game will appear next under the mysterious wrapping paper, no one really knows which one it will be until it gets revealed. For today, it is nothing less than very good survival horror from 2022, The Callisto Protocol, a game that came out with huge expectations but didn't really live up to them.
The Callisto Protocol was supposed to be something of a successor to Dead Space, or at least the fans of the Dead Space series believed it could, because they share the same creative director, but many of them were left disappointed because The Callisto Protocol was nothing like Dead Space, apart from sharing a similar genre.
However, apart from that, The Callisto Protocol is a pretty decent game with a little unconventional gameplay and a different approach to the horror genre, but if you're a fan of the audio-visual spectacles in video games, The Callisto Protocol won't disappoint.
Although this game is three years old, you'll be hard-pressed to find a game with such quality visuals, including very realistic face models and even better facial expressions and animations.
So if you own a decent PC that can handle those graphics properly, jump to the Epic Games and grab the game for free while the offer still lasts. You have around 18 hours left to grab The Callisto Protocol for free, so go ahead and do that. Who knows, maybe this game clicks for you.
