A new Sony ad designed to promote the PlayStation 5 console appears to be teasing some unknown project. Fans believe that it could be a new Uncharted game.
In a promo video recently released on the official PlayStation YouTube channel titled "Live from PS5", you can see live-action news reports from several PlayStation games, such as Horizon Forbidden West , God of War: Ragnarök , Ghost of Tsushima , Stray , Gran Turismo 7 , and many others.
However, the origins of a handful of frames in this video remain unknown, which piqued the interest of fans of Sony 's famous Uncharted series. In one frame, an unknown girl holds a torch and examines an artefact; in the other, someone blows dust off the artefact. It didn't take long after the release of this video for die-hard Uncharted fans to speculate on who this girl may be and perceive it as a hint for the upcoming Uncharted game.
As shown in this video's comments section on YouTube, fans think that this girl is the daughter of Nathan and Elena Drake, who was briefly presented in Uncharted 4: A Thief's End epilogue. Fans assume that Cassie will be the protagonist of the new potential Uncharted game, picking up the story where her parents left off at the conclusion of Uncharted 4.
It's worth mentioning that Naughty Dog co-president Neil Druckmann indicated last week that the studio has moved on from the Uncharted series, but this does not prevent another studio from working on the franchise, since Sony has never acknowledged that they have given up on this IP. If we add a job listing published last year by Sony for a new interim studio that should work this year in collaboration with Naughty Dog on the "beloved franchise," we might conclude that there is hope for a new Uncharted game.

This is not the first time Sony has used this strategy to tease PlayStation games. A Resident Evil 4 insignia appeared in a new PlayStation ad in September 2021; nine months later, Resident Evil 4 Remake was formally announced at the PlayStation State of Play event.
