Not long after the Mortal Kombat 1 launch, Bandai Namco announced Tekken 8 closed beta test, which is starting on October 02, 2023, via PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
You can already sign up on the official website and the deadline is October 11, 2023. On October 18, selected testers will be notified and become able to redeem the provided codes.
There are also a few caveats you should mind before filling in your info.
Closed beta rules
- Each person is limited to one application for this test. Those who participated and downloaded the Closed Network Test (CNT) held in July will be able to continue playing in the Closed Beta Test
- There is no need to apply again.It is prohibited to transfer, purchase, sell or lend the Closed Beta Test software or access credentials to others
- If such behavior is discovered, the winning entrant's eligibility will be voided
- The saved data from this test will not carry over to the final product
Tekken 8 Closed Beta Test will run until October 23, 2023, with a bit of downtime on October 21 due to maintenance. It appears that the test is mainly there to check how the online features function on a scale that is bigger than previous tests.
The game itself is set to release on January 26, 2024.
