League of Legends is approaching the end of yet another season and Riot's biggest tournament of the year is practically around the corner.
This is why the Season Finals of the LEC culminated with the draw for the Play-In stage of World Championship 2023, even though not all participants have been determined yet.
However, it was easy to work around since the last remaining participant will be decided in the clash between Team BDS and Golden Guardians on October 9, 2023.
In any case, the draw is as follows:
- Bracket A
- Gigabyte Marines vs LOUD
- PSG Talon vs Movistar R7
- Bracket B
- Team BDS or Golden Guardians vs Team Whales
- CTBC Flying Oyster vs Detonation FocusMe
All matches are played in best-of-three format and those who lose the first match are knocked down into the lower bracket. Losing again knocks the team out of the tournament. In the end, Brackets A and B will have lower and upper bracket winners.
Bracket A upper bracket winners will face Bracket B lower bracket winners. Similarly, Bracket B upper bracket winners will face Bracket A lower bracket winners.
The two teams that remain standing will proceed into the World Championship Swiss round.
