League of Legends Patch 13.3 is bringing a lot of nerfs to Amumu, K'Sante and Zac. Also, some new jungle system changes will hit Summoner's Rift. Patch 13.3 is set to be released on February 8, 2023!
Riot Games and League of Legends have had a difficult start to the year, due to a massive cyber attack. In an effort to recover and provide a familiar League experience, the company is launching Patch 13.3, the next patch after Patch 13.1B. Patch 13.2 was not released due to the cyber attack, which resulted in the distribution of Patch 13.1B instead.
In light of recent events, Riot Games is including all previously delayed updates in Patch 13.3, along with new additions such as Valentine-themed skins for Vi, Caitlyn, and Amumu, as well as necessary buffs and nerfs.
The focus of this article will be on the nerfs that are set to arrive in Patch 13.3. Lead Designer at the Summoner's Rift team, Riot Phroxzon, recently disclosed the upcoming changes for the patch on his Twitter page.
Amumu
Amumu is currently seen as a dominating force in low-level leagues, with a win rate of around 55% in the Jungle role and 54% in the Support role, making him one of the most powerful champions in lower tiers. To address this, Riot Games has decided to nerf Amumu in the upcoming patch.
K'Sante
While K'Sante may not have the strongest record in solo play with only a 48% win rate, he is performing exceptionally well in professional play.
His capability to cause damage while building tank items, high mobility, and crowd control make him a valuable addition to any team. K'Sante is also frequently picked or banned as a top laner in professional play.
Zac
Zac is arguably one of the strongest champions in the game, being effective in four different lanes: top, jungle, mid, and support, with a win rate above 52% on all of them. This, coupled with a 20% ban rate, has led to Zac receiving a nerf in the next patch.
Jungle System Changes
The state of the jungle has been problematic since the recent jungle overhaul. The nerf to experience points has resulted in farming junglers becoming less prevalent in the meta and ganking junglers becoming more dominant.
Champions like Elise, Maokai, and Udyr can now continuously gank from as early as level 2 or 3, making the game unfavorable for the opposing team.
