Tanks are, and seem like, they always will be a menace in League of Legends. However, the biggest one is a tank with far too much agency on the map, and that is Rhaast, the jungler.
Kayn is a League of Legends champion, and Riot's attempt at an edgy anime protagonist, who battles the demon within. Unlike the animes, what happens on the Rift is that players choose the demon far more than the human, and for good reason.
the champion, and more specifically, his red form, has already been nerfed once , just 4 patches ago. And still, the problem did not go away. So riot are nerfing him again.
- Q - Reaping Slash
- DARKIN DAMAGE: 65% AD (+5% of the target's max health (+5% per 100% bonus AD)) ⇒ 65% AD (+5% of the target's max health (+3.5% per 100% bonus AD))
The issue Rhaast has is that his damage has been matching his drain tank capabilities. And the champion deising is pretty clear on Kayn having one or the other, depending on the form he chooses.
"Rhaast has been winning the preferred Kayn form battle in most skill levels recently. Not only does he offer a surprising amount of damage, but he's also proving to be a hard-to-kill drain tank. We want to lean more into his identity as a healing tank, so we're taking his damage down so he no longer gets the best of both forms,' said Riot.
We doubt that this will be the last of the Rhaast nefs we see in the coming patches, as it doesn't seem to handle the root issues the champion has.
