League of Legends - Nami should go back to empowering allies, and not indirectly one-shotting squishies

Enchanters are the support class that specializes in utility for their teammates. What happens then, when their early game damage is off the charts? A nerf, though this one is a long time coming.

Since season 11 League of Legends World Championship, Nami has been causing trouble in the bot lane with her Electrocute runes, that Riot Games have not stopped for almost a full year.

In patch 12.17 , however, Riot are finally putting an end to Nami abusing the Electrocute rune for free damage, with her W proccing it from a safe distance behind her ADC.

The strategy worked due to Nami's W, proccing Electrocute with 3 instances of a slow that stays attributed to Nami even if the ally applies it on-hit.

Which, when played with a champion like Lucian, whose burst damage combo is easy to execute, and very effective, made the duo bot lane have enough damage to burst down an enemy even without items.

In patch 12.17  Riot will likely have it modified to not count as 3 individual applications of the slow. This way, Nami will go back to the usual rune pages for enchanters, and will not have an unhealthy amount of damage.

It will be interesting to see how this affects Nami's win rate, as Riot have previously nerfed the Mythic Items this champion usually builds. it will most likely result in Nami taking to Imperial mandate as the next best thing, to still have some burst damage against enemies.
