In patch 12.17, stasis effects are being nerfed heavily, to counteract their use by professional players. The buffs to the items, to balance out the nerfs,w ill make assassins obsolete though.
There are broken League of Legends items that Riot Games try to nerf, such as Divine Sunderer, and then there are those that they seem to have given up on, due to their design.
The same goes this time, with the items that are derived from the Perfect Stopwatch component, as Riot Games can't seem to just nerf the items outright, but must also buff them in other areas at the same time.
"Since its introduction", say Riot, "Stopwatch has been a powerful item, not only in solo queue, but especially in Pro play with extremely low ping. We’re increasing its purchase price so that if it's bought as a one-time-use item it sets players back more in the gold department."
- Cost: 650 ⇒ 750 Perfect Timing will still only contribute 250 gold towards a Stopwatch item
With the increase in price, this means that all items that have stopwatch asits component will get an increase in price as well:
- Guardian Angel - 2600 --> 3000
- Zhonya's Hourglass - 2600 --> 3000
However, both items will also get buffs to go along with the increased price. The buffs however, are not even remotely close in value, as Zhonya's Hourglass is getting and additional 15 AP and 5 Ability haste, while Guardian Angel is only getting 5 bonus AD.
Once again, Attack Damage champions are drawing the short end of the stick, duo to a single item in the game. Especially when you take into account that Seeker's Armguard is also getting buffed, with 10(which is part of the Zhonya's AP buffs) for an earlier powerspike.
