A new era for League of Legends Esports has arrived. Riot Games have revealed the new Summoner’s Cup – a bespoke creation between LoL Esports and Tiffany & Co.’s expert artisans from the legendary luxury jeweler’s Holloware workshop, which will be awarded to the team crowned the 2022 World Champion on November 5.
The new Summoner’s Cup was designed to honor the past of League of Legends, while celebrating the next chapter of LoL Esports.
Made of sterling silver, fine silver, stainless steel, brass, and wood, the Summoner’s Cup weighs 44 pounds and stands approximately 27 inches. The modern design was brought to life over a span of four months totaling 277 hours by Holloware workshop craftspersons.
The base of the Summoner’s Cup features engraved names of previous winning teams and pro players, which is a new tradition awaiting future champions, solidifying their place in the legacy of the sport.
The Cup is the latest esports championship trophy crafted by Tiffany & Co., joining the LoL Pro League Silver Dragon Cup that was unveiled last year.
While the new Summoner's Cup will make its physical debut at Worlds 2022, the Cup also will make its way onto Summoner's Rift as part of the 12.18 patch release going live on September 20. Players will spot the trophy in the top lane during gameplay.
