Labyrinth City: Pierre the Maze Detective has been released on PC and is releasing on Nintendo Switch about a month later.
Labyrinth City: Pierre the Maze Detective has released on PC via Steam while Nintendo Switch is getting the game on July 15, 2021. In this game, the players will assume the role of Pierre, the protagonist of comic books named "Pierre the Maze Detective".
Their task will be to track down Mr X, a villain with nefarious motives, who has taken the magical Maze Stone from the Opera City's museum. Players will have to navigate various mazes full of hidden secrets, minigames and other interactions that also extend to citizens he meets.
Considering that the place where this happens is named Opera City, you are probably wondering about the "Labyrinth" part in the title. Well, it refers to the aforementioned magical stone - it turns things around it into mazes.
The game is heavily inspired by the comics and as such, the scenes are based on double-page illustrations from the original work. Fans of the comics will probably recognise them immediately but will still have to navigate around to find all the secrets, leaving the sense of wonder in tact.
Following the release on Nintendo Switch, the devs plan to bring the game to mobile devices during Q3 2021.
