Insurgency: Sandstorm, the critically acclaimed tactical shooter from Focus Home Interactive, launches on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on 25 August 2020.
Publisher Focus Home Interactive and developer New World have officially announced a consoles release date for their realistic shooter Insurgency: Sandstorm. The game is set to launch on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on 25 August 2020 and will be playable on consoles during PAX East on the Focus Home Interactive booth.
Keith Warner, President of New World Interactive said that PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players have been asking for a proper hardcore shooter for a long time. That's why the company decided to push for the consoles port, which is also seen as a huge step in the company's evolution.
"The console market has been craving a hardcore modern-day tactical shooter for a long time. Expanding our tried and tested PC formula to the console market is a huge step in our company’s evolution and we are excited to bring our signature style of tactical FPS to the console market for the very first time," Warner explained.
In case you are not familiar with Insurgency: Sandstorm, it is a hardcore realistic shooter that emphasizes team play and communication. It is a sequel to Insurgency, brining bigger maps, enhanced visuals and much more.
At the time of writing, the game has very positive reviews on Steam, and it is mostly praised for its insanely good sound design, visuals and great gunplay.
