Insurgency: Sandstorm developers, New World Interactive held an AMA session on Reddit, and while players could ask any question, the most common one was whether the bots will lose access to explosives, as they ruin the experience for many.
If you participated in Insurgency: Sandstorm's beta recently, you would have been presented with brutal FPS action that reminiscent of the Battlefield series, but with a much quicker time to kill. While the developer's attempts at realism were well received, there were some drawbacks too.
For example, players found themselves griefed by bots of all things, in co-op modes where they could use grenade launchers and air strikes. It appears that an abnormally large amount of players got blown up by the bots, resulting in overwhelming feedback asking to remove these tools from the AI's arsenal.
A Reddit AMA also had several people asking whether these issues would be addressed, and a developer going by the name Cara answered similarly to each of these questions - "We have removed grenade launchers from bots in Checkpoint altogether based on the feedback that bots used them a bit too aggressively.".
It appears that the bots indeed used grenade launchers too aggressively, as one of the questions was actually if the developers would stop the bots from . Another redditor was concerned with the way bots use air strikes, as they cited that particular murder method as the most frequent way their squads were wiped. Luckily, this will also be addressed as Cara has confirmed New World Interactive will limit Fire Support usage for bots.
Aside from explosion-happy bots, the most common complaint about Insurgency: Sandstorm's beta was performance. Even players with high end systems would get frame rate drops and "only" 60 FPS on maximum settings.

One member of the master race in particular that the game doesn't actually utilise their system to the maximum, as both their GTX 1080 GPU and i7 8700k processor were only used at about 40 to 45 per cent capacity while playing the game on Very High settings.
Mikee from New World Interactive responded positively to this query as he stated it will be the team's focus to deliver more optimisation before launch and that it wil will continue to be an "ongoing thing" even after the game releases on 18 September 2018. Just a quick PSA, you can still grab the original for free.
