Fan-favourite Infected Mode is coming to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare today but unfortunately, it will be available only until Wednesday, 18 December 2019.
Infinity Ward's shooter Call of Duty: Modern Warfare recently introduced Season One update, which added a fresh batch of content, including the first battle pass. On top of this, Season One will also bring a lot more stuff in the near future, and one of these new updates will arrive today, 10 December 2019.
In this update, Infinity Ward will introduce the fan-favourite mode - Infected - to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. The Infected Mode has been a staple of Call of Duty series for many years now, which is why it's been heavily requested by the Modern Warfare community.
If you're unfamiliar with the mode, it sees players fight to survive against one player who has been randomly selected as "infected". Those who are not marked as infected need to run away from or kill the infected player while the infected player must spread the infection and overwhelm the surviving players.
It's safe to say that it's a pretty fun mode and players will certainly appreciate its introduction. However, one thing that may disappoint many is how long the mode will remain in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.
Players will get to play it for only a week, before Infinity Ward remove the mode on 18 December 2019, which some may not like. It's also pretty surprising that the devs plan to keep the mode in the game for such a short amount of time. However, it's possible that they extend it for another week or so, if players become vocal about it, just like they did after the removal of Shoot House 25/7 mode.
Anyway, the update is on its way now, and the full patch notes should become available on Reddit, so make sure you check the Modern Warfare subreddit later for all the tweaks, changes and new additions.
