The latest reports suggest IO Interactive veterans are currently working on a brand new, medieval dragon-themed IP, which is currently early in development.
Xbox insiders have been teasing a Dragon-themed game for quite some time now, and today, we finally have first details regarding this project, which seems to be another exclusive for Microsoft's console.
According to WindowsCentral, the game is indeed a Dragon-themed IP, developed by IO Interactive, the studio behind the Hitman franchise and the upcoming James Bond game.
A report from Eurogamer reveals that the game is set during medieval times, which means we're getting another big medieval title from Xbox. Avowed, Fable and The Elder Scrolls VI are other medieval games that have been announced by Xbox studios.
According to some previous interviews, the game could be a multiplayer title or even an MMO dubbed Rex Dominus . The studio is currently hiring for an unannounced multiplayer project and it looks like that this could indeed be the Rex Dominus game that IO Interactive have worked on in the past, but had to pause the development to deliver Hitman.
Sadly, we do not have more details about the game and it will probably stay that way for quite a while since the reports claim that the project is early in development and won't be coming anytime soon. Our prediction for the release date would be 2024.
