Sony Entertainment's horde survival shooter Helldivers 2 has been a great success on the PlayStation 5 and PC. Developed by Arrowhead Game Studios, the game is a direct sequel to 2015's top-down shooter Helldivers.
Like every other game on PlayStation, Helldivers 2 features a platinum trophy, which is unlockable by completing all other associated trophies. However, after the recent liberation attempt and the defeat of Automatons on the front, a few trophies have become unattainable, making the platinum trophy itself impossible to unlock.
Helldivers 2 Platinum Trophy becomes impossible to unlock
In a recent major order, players were given the mission to drive out Automaton forces from the outer belt of Super Earth. Fortunately, players were successful in driving out all Automaton forces.
Unfortunately, the removal of Automaton forces made the achievement of few trophies impossible which in turn makes the platinum trophy unobtainable.
The two trophies require players to face off against Bot forces including a Hulk and normal troops. The throwback a live grenade achievement is unobtainable without going against standard Automaton troops.
Moreover, the other achievement requires players to shoot off a Automaton Hulk's arm then extract while it's still alive. Now that there are no Automaton occupied planets, obtaining this achievement has become impossible.
While the disappearance of Automaton forces is a temporary situation in the game, many trophy hunters might face a delay until Arrowhead brings them back to the game.
Many players are reporting that Automaton forces have made their way back into many sectors of the game with their battle ships. Players can expect Automaton forces to start their invasion efforts in 2-3 days.
As soon as they Automatons attacking different planets players will be able to obtain their platinum trophy by unlocking those two trophies. Aside from these trophies, players can unlock almost every trophy in the game without any difficulties.
