CD Projekt Red have announced that Gwent is finally coming to iOS on 29 October 2019, along with the list of compatible devices, features and pre-order details. Having pre-orders for GWENT is odd since the game is free to play.

CD Projekt Red announced that Gwent would come to iOS and Android devices months ago and now we have the first details about the upcoming mobile release, with some info reserved for the upcoming Gwent Challenger.

Originally, the game was announced for both iOS and Android in late May 2019 but it's iOS users who are getting the first taste in late October 2019. Oddly enough, those interested in playing it can already "pre-order " the TCG on AppStore, even though Gwent is free to play.

Whatever the reason may be, if you decide to pre-order it, you may want to know a bit more about the technical specifications. Gwent will take up 2.6 GB of space on a mobile device and is available for download only to people who are 17 or older. The reasons for this rating are depictions of violence and potential but infrequent nudity, among other things.

One particularly useful feature is the cross-platform progression so all the changes made to a Gwent account will carry over from PC to iOS devices and vice versa. A GOG account will be needed, however.

Gwent will support iPhone 6S and newer devices, including the upcoming iPhone 11, iPad Mini 4 and newer, iPad 5th gen or newer, iPad Air 2 or newer and all iPad Pro devices. The more powerful iOS devices will have additional options, due to more advanced hardware. For example, Gwent will have built-in 4K textures on them, which could possibly affect the game size as well.

There are more details to be revealed about iOS version of Gwent apparently and CD Projekt Red have reserved them for the Gwent Challenger livestream. The tournament will boast a $100.000 prize pool. You can tune in on the official CDPR channel on Twitch during 14 and 15 September 2019 at 16:00 CEST each day.
